Most of us love the idea of excellence, but don't love the practice of it.
The former is fun to think about.
The latter is not as much fun usually.
What will (or won't) distinguish you from the creative next to you is your degree of willingness to keep trying until it's ready to be shared—whatever it is.
The practice of excellence challenges us. Humbles us. Puts us in our place when we don't want to be put in our place. But it's worth practicing.
It took a lot of tries to land on the moon.
